Aleksey Devyanin, better known as Pixelord brings us a tribute to Nikola Tesla by a mixture of 10 perfect tracks with two unreleased ones by his fellows DZA and Ol. Some great news from Dam-Funk! He’s about to drop 12″  maxi single & video for his “Hood Pass Intact”  single. D-F will be joined on the vocal mix of the standout track from his Toeachizown 5-LP set by West Coast legend MC Eiht, marking their first collaboration in nearly a decade. Hood Pass Intact 12″ also features the vocals of Steve Arrington (Slave) on the track “4 My Homies”. Rounding out the four-track “Hood Pass Intact” are contributions from Devonwho on the instrumental re-edit of Toeachizown’s “Come On Outside” and JT Donaldson and TK co-producing the non-album single “How It Be Between U & Me?”.
Sounds interesting, especially after hearing this great collab between Dam-Funk and MC Eiht, which is right below for you to listen/download!

Kinda forgot to write about it, so let me correct this mistake! In the beginning of June iTAL tEK released full-length album “Midnight Colour” and after dat he dropped “Moment In Blue” EP, both releases via Planet Mu. I checked the EP at first and one track cough my attention when the first chords started, the track is entitled “Crush Horizon” and it sounds fresh! It’s really rare to hear this type of snare on beats/wonky tracks, it reminds me a bit of DJ Premier and that 90′s hip-hop flavour, haha. Also, I enjoy that floating sense, it feels like you travel thru the tunnel to the light, ehh… overall it’s dope track! The second track I want to share is from the “Midnight Colour” album, it’s entitled “Neon Arc“. Whoa, what an amazing one? Let me be just speechless about it. The Whole EP as well as the album travels from dubstep to beats/wonky and it’s more that worth to check those two recent releases from iTAL tEK, which is now available via Boomkat or other!

I got a few tracks from RBMA Various Assets 2010 compilation I collected yesterday, the first one is brought to you by MOOVMNT and here’s what they posted:

Good news for everyone! The Red Bull Music Academy is dropping the “Various Assets London 2010″ compilation album on July 19th. If you don’t know the deal yet, check out this previous post and educate yourself. We remember this year’s Academy as if it was yesterday and we’d like to give a big fat shout out to all the participants we met, hung out with and befriended. Can’t stress enough what a fantastic project this is and topping it off with a compilation album is the right way to do it.

We were given the honour of bringing you this exclusive track by TOKiMONSTA featuring Andreya Triana, Oddisee and the homie Tranqill entitled “Jackin4beats Pt. 4″. Without a doubt one of our favourite tunes on the compilation. One of the female members of LA’s beat scene, Tokimonsta paired up with Montreal’s Lunice, and German producer Swede:art to present us with a fresh tune off of the Various Assets compilation, coming soon via Red Bull Music Academy. Their collaborative song, “Alpenglow,” matches Lunice’s crunchy beat with Swede:art’s soulful key tickling and Toki’s squelchy bass synth explorations—creating a shuffling, spacey R&B-flavored tune wholly unique from each producer’s separate styles. It’s something you can expect more of from the likes of James Pants, Katy B, Space Dimension Controller, Dâm-Funk, Hudson Mohawke, and many of the other producers involved with this year’s RBMA in London when Various Assets is released July 19.

I’m lookin forward to these DOPE collabs like crazy!
