Uhh bwoy, Machinedrum never disappoints. His remarkable ability to combine a variety of genres into one compound makes a whole new and unique results. Recently released “Sacred Frequence” EP (buy here) makes me wanna cry tears of joy, moreover he just revealed and gave away a bonus track “TMPL” (via XLR8R) from his forthcoming album “ROOM(S)“, which is set to drop on July 25th via Planet Mu. Thundercat just revealed a new track “Daylight” from his upcoming solo album “The Golden Age of Apocalypse” (entirely produced by Flying Lotus) due to drop on August 30 via Brainfeeder. 13-track album also features Erykah Badu, Sa-Ra Creative Partners, J*Davey, Austin Peralta and Thundercat’s drummer brother Ronald Bruner.

So far, “Daylight” sounds dreamy and magical, and I got a feeling that cat’s album is going to be a real treat for all the innovative beatheads out there. Mark your calendars. [via Pitchfork]

Chicago MC Serengeti is dropping his debut solo album “Family and Friends” on July 19 via Anticon. Here’s the first free single entitled “Ha-Ha” featuring lovely vocals from Hazel and Martha Brown.
