Perf10

During the day, this ex-Christian Dior visual artist Fancy Mike spends his time managing a biannual literary and fine arts journal while completing his studies in French History and Literature. At night, he makes beats and e-mails famous people so they’ll listen to his music. His sound consists of lo-fi, synth-based instrumental music, backed by analog-driven technology and tape hiss. Mike likes to maintain a style that is heavily reminiscent of filmic scores, French electro, 70s disco music, 80s synth-pop and current-day future music.

Today we have a new, long-awaited mix entitled “Petalooma“. It shows a whole variety of future music sub-genres, washed-out sounds and precise pick of sequence are managed to act in collusion with your subconsciousness to make you enjoy every moment of those fragile vibes.

“Fly Russia” is a compilation album produced by Russian beatmakers, such as DZA, Lapti, OL, Pixelord, Demokracy and others! Seventeen tracks made by diferent beatmakers, but that dusty Russian atmospheric vibe feels quite well on the most of  the tracks. So if you dig Russian beats, you will definitely be pleased by this great comp.! It’s set to release on September 13th via Error-Broadcast x Gimme5 as FREE DOWNLOAD. Overall, it’s a big release, so go set a reminder on Sept. 13, just in case you might forget! Heyyy! Sorry for not updating this blog for quite a while, I’ve been to one of the craziest festivals in Europe – Satta Outside! Actually I came back to home yesterday and I was so tired and lazy to do something, even tho I know I had to. Well, big apologies, you know it’s summer and we all need to disconnect for a while sometimes! I’ve been attending to this festival since the second in 2008, so I see it’s growing in the right direction, even tho there always are some minuses, but just to know what organizers did to make it happen – I gotta show some love and support! Checkout this crazy post-soviet amphitheater turning into main stage in the festival (above), where DZA, Hudson Mohawke, Slugabed, Mount Kimbie, Mweslee and some others performed, also “Sventoji” stage built up right on the sand near the river was well made decision! Check out various photos here, at Facebook! Also, I got some footage from the festival’s performers that I filmed with my shitty camera, but I will post it tomorrow! Big ups to Exile, HudMo, DZA, Low Bob, Arousal, Mamiko Motto, Lapti, Zilvinas Noriusis and all the others that I met there!

Those ten days passed so fast and I’m back with a new treat! The mix entitled ‘Pervaya Rechka‘ from RBMA2010 participant DZA is now served for your filthy ears! Highly acclaimed producer from Moscow made a very special mix for Perf10, the mix only contains unreleased and demo stuff by himself and his Russian fellows except for one track! Unfortunately there’s no tracklist this time, but I can provide artist names featured on the mix: DZA, Miracle Libido, Lapti, Ol, Mujuice, Ichiro_ & FantastikClick. I forgot to mention that he’s also Error Broadcast artist  and a member of How2make crew from Russia. By the way, I posted about his FREE beat tape earlier, so if you missed that use the “Check it & Grab it” function! Kind words to DZA for this one!
